IPSecure Receives San Antonio Incentives for Business Expansion

The San Antonio City Council voted Thursday to approve an incentive package for San Antonio information technology firm IPSecure. The company will receive an Economic Development Incentive Fund (EDIF) Grant of $420,000 based on a capital investment of approximately $1.3 million, the creation of at least 80 new high-wage full-time jobs, and the retention of 115 full-time jobs.IPSecure provides a broad range of cybersecurity and other information technology services to government and private-sector companies worldwide with most of its work in cybersecurity. Jungle Disk announced Tuesday its acquisition of TeamPassword, a password manager that simplifies password management security for users of its service. Jungle Disk provides encrypted cloud backup for small businesses up to 250 employees, as well as a network firewall to protect against ransomware, malware, and denial-of-service attacks.As businesses use more cloud-based services, the number of accounts and passwords each person needs to maintain is growing. “The average TeamPassword customer has 147 passwords to manage within their business,” said Brian Sierakowski, CEO of TeamPassword.
